FMDV joins the TAP as a partner organization
FMDV – The Global fund for cities development – has joined the Transformative Actions Program (TAP) as a partner organization. Building on previous collaboration between FMDV and TAP facilitator organization ICLEI, this new partnership will highly contribute to the objectives of the TAP to improve access to existing and additional capital flows to cities and regions and to enhance climate investment in urban areas over the next ten years.
The Global fund for cities development (FMDV) was created in October 2010 at the initiative of Metropolis, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and 34 founding members (cities and city networks). It aims to facilitate the access of local authorities to financial resources suited to the needs they have themselves identified. FMDV works towards local authorities’ ownership of their urban projects by providing adequate technical expertise and financial engineering throughout all stages of project development.
