Redução de áreas de risco
Focus: Adaptation
Sector(s): Adaptation / Resilience / Disaster risk reduction
A significant portion of Minas Gerais’ population lives in areas that lack access to sanitation, lighting, education and health. In addition, they are at risk from landslides during periods of heavy rain. To combat this risk, the city will introduce a series of measures, including the restoration of structurally significant land and the development of paved areas. More generally, the city will improve living standards for the population of these impoverished areas by providing better housing and access to clean water.
